How to count the days between two dates
Pick a start date and an end date above. By default the calculator counts the number of full days between them — the same as subtracting one date from the other. If you want to count both the first and last day (for example, to find how many days a hotel booking covers), tick “Include the end day in the count.”
Days, weeks, months, or years?
The result is shown several ways at once. The large number is the total day count. Below it you also get the calendar breakdown in years, months, and days, the equivalent number of whole weeks plus leftover days, and the totals expressed purely in months or weeks.
Why the month breakdown can look surprising
Months have different lengths, so “1 month and 1 day” is not always 31 or 32 days. This tool advances the start date one whole calendar month at a time (clamping to the last day of shorter months) and then counts the leftover days, which matches how people naturally read calendar durations.

- Is the calculation affected by time zones? No. All math is done on calendar dates in UTC, so daylight saving time and your local time zone can never shift the result by a day.
- Does my data leave the browser? No. There is no server — every calculation happens locally on your device.
